About this deal

The Beatles iconic final studio album being released to coincide with the worldwide release of Peter Jackson’s 3 part documentary ‘The Beatles: Get Back’. The album sleeve is also printed on thin card buff finish however it is NOT laminated thus saving Apple 1d or 2d per sleeve remember EMI would be passing all pressimg cots on this means the sleeve will scuff and wear easily . John Lennon – lead and backing vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar on “Get Back”, lap steel guitar on “For You Blue”, acoustic guitar on “Two of Us”, “Across the Universe” and “Maggie Mae”, six-string bass guitar on “Dig It”, “Let It Be” and “The Long and Winding Road”, whistling on “Two of Us”. It was released in the UK on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's break-up, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name. The picture sleeve shows just light creasing to the laminate in places and a little minor wear leaving it a great Excellent example complete with the Apple-adresses inner.

They then decamped to their new studio in their Apple office building in Saville Row and on January 30th performed their last ever live group performance on the rooftop. The Super Deluxe Vinyl Special Edition slipcase box set houses 4 LPs, a 12" EP, and a 105-page hardbound book in slipcase. Get Back was ultimately assembled under the title of Let It Be by the American producer Phil Spector in early 1970. This album has been prepared using the 2009 digital remasters which had been created from the original stereo analogue master tapes. I have had in the collection for some time now a record that I thought was an original US pressing of the Beatles Let It Be.

During the rehearsal process, they asked Glyn Johns, who had been hired to help with the live sound, to attempt a mix to create an album.

An asterisk ” * ” means it was pressed at the Los Angeles plant…a triangular symbol with a line coming out the pointed end means it was pressed in Winchester Virginia. George Harrison – lead and rhythm guitars, acoustic guitar on “For You Blue” and “I Me Mine”, tambura on “Across the Universe”, tuned-down six-string electric guitar on “Two of Us” and “Maggie Mae”, lead vocals on “I Me Mine” and “For You Blue”, backing vocals. All the new ‘Let It Be’ releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original “reproduced for disc” version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).This entry was posted in Apple Records, Beatles, Beatles Collecting, Beatles Music and tagged Apple Records, Beatles, Bell Sound, fake, Let It Be, Let It Be Variations, Let It Be versions, red Apple by beatlesblogger. My album has on side 1- Phil+Ronnie, JS-17,500-15, with 3 small dots under the 15 and a large one next to it, a 2 on it’s back, the bell sound stamp, sf stamp, and an *. The Super Deluxe collections also feature 27 previously unreleased session recordings, a four-track ‘Let It B’e EP, and the never before released 14-track ‘Get Back’ stereo LP mix compiled by engineer Glyn Johns in May 1969. On side 2- the 2 is upright and is between Phil+Ronnie and the other numbers, and has a marking that looks like [_], with every thing else the same.

The album was delayed further and in fact became their 12th and final official album release on 8th May 1970 following additional production by American producer Phil Spector. Started January 1969 as Get Back, the original idea was to record an album aux natural with as little of the production values that has graced their latter albums (Sgt Pepper, MMT, The White Album). There is further weakening to the inner parts of the box, some creasing and small tears where the book sits in the recess, but this is the norm for this design of box and copies that have not shown any age distressing are almost mythical and very rarely seen these days.FYI, here is a handy list of the markings from each of the Capitol pressing plants: It was Sam Feldman who also scribbled the words “Phil + Ronnie” on the dead wax. And it was only two weeks ago, after finally picking up a genuine copy at a record fair, that I could conduct a side-by-side analysis to spot the differences. This measures 9½" x 16½" and is folded as designed, neatly at appproximately 12" to fit into the box. Irrespective of the source, all of our collectables meet our strict grading and are 100% guaranteed.
